about anjali*

Image hosted by Photobucket.comanjali* is my pen name. An Indian pen pal gave it to me. Funny, Rakesh thought I was as sweet as an angel. Haha.

I reside in congested Kay El, in a spacious apartment with my cat, Smokey and my plants. Smokey keeps me occupied at home with unconditional TLC. And the plants keep me sane amidst the hustle and hurry of the concrete jungle. Sometimes, I pretend I am Jane...

I am a bit of a hermit. That's contributed by my dire need for private space and maybe because I am a tad too independent for my own good. At most times, after a long workday, I just don't want company - I just like to dwell in my favourite things.

My interests?

Music: Folk, rock and alternative, mostly British music.
Movies: Woody Allen, Akira Kurosawa and Majid Majidi top my list.
Chats: I enjoy conversing with the Lord, as well with close friends, over good food, drinks and laughs.
Hyper drive imagination: I think a lot, about anything and everything. Mind plays usually keep me awake at night.
Reads: Am falling in love all over again with this time killer. Nick Hornby and Elizabeth Berg are my current favourites.
Food: I find cooking therapeutic. Be nice to me and I shall feed you.
Belief: Jesus is so alive in my life.

Not a very interesting person, I am...maybe just freakingly unique. But that'll do.
